Whitney Hayden   designer

Whitney graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Tennessee and from the Chancellors Honor Program. There she received scholarships covering 100% of her tuition and was honored with numerous awards including the highest honor - Dille Award for Best Undergraduate Work in Graphic Design in the UT Student Art Competition and the Innovative Learning and Solution Award. She was named Most Outstanding Graduate in Graphic Design in her graduating class. With experience in both visual and performing arts, Whitney came into design with a love for all aspects of art. This dimensionality is why she enjoys working in every medium, whether it be print, web, motion, or more hands-on mediums like drawing and painting. Her approach to design is both artistic and methodical, merging system with design to create unique projects with precision and elegance. She is especially strong in brand development and execution. She is experienced in the Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), html coding and CSS (cascading style sheets). Her work has been recognized in Print Magazine's 2012 Regional Design Competition and the 2012 AIGA Tenn Show. A few of her projects include The Oliver Hotel, Water Quality Forum and Beaver Creek Task Force, Arrowmont, Ole Smokey Distillery, Knox Heritage, The Porchlight Sessions, Scoop'd, Knoxville's Urban Wilderness, Outdoor Knoxville, Kylie Evans, Cedar Bluff Animal Clinic, and historic homes Blount Mansion, Marble Springs, Crescent Bend, and Ramsey House.
